I was listening to a sermon by Dr. Sinclair Ferguson titled “Let the Children Come”. It is very good and he closes with something we all need to remember.

If you’re a husband…you need to come home again and again to your wife and say, “What I do isn’t really important. But what we do as parents, that’s really important. That’s the most important thing we do. The most important privilege we have is…to bring out children to Christ.

If your wife is a stay at home mom, you have to remember that all you do is enable her to “bring our children to Christ”. He’s referring to the passage in Matthew where parents are bringing their children to see Jesus and after the disciples try to interfere, He says, “Let the children come to Me.” We cannot change what our children think of Christ and make them believe, but we need to bring them to Jesus day by day.

Jenna – I know I forget this too much, but I really appreciate what you do for our kids. It is obvious in their lives that you are consistently bringing them to Christ. Love you!
