25 Random Things About Me…

So for those of you not on Facebook, there is this thing going around to list 25 random things about yourself. I’ve never participated in this one, but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to make fun of myself or reveal things that are probably better left in the closet. So here you go.
Matt’s [...]

More perspective from Shaq…

I think this is the second time I’ve quoted Shaq on this blog. I’m beginning to wonder about myself, however, I was just watching an interview with him and Steven A Smith on espn.com and he says this (at about the 3 minute point of the video below),
Long time ago, 12 years old, one [...]

Relief Found Only at the Cross…

I am currently feeling a bit of exhaustion. I am working long hours at work and am finding little time or energy for the things that help encourage and sustain me. When I do spend time in ministry, I find myself lacking by either not studying the the vigor and desire that I [...]

Johnstown Flood… A Historical Account that Captivates

I just finished one of my favorite books of all time, The Johnstown Flood by David McCullough. I’m a big McCullough fan. I’ve read his John Adams (in which the recent HBO series was based), I’ve read 1776, Truman and I think one other. I enjoyed them all. I enjoy him, because of the detail that he includes. His research is unparalleled and I believe that he is more accurate than most history books. So when I picked up one of his older books, I knew that I was going to get a decent book, but had no idea what I was in for.

Not of myself…

Have you ever felt like everyone is indirectly trying to tell you something? Or maybe it’s just God putting the same message in front of you over and over?
Like say, on Sunday, your pastor, we’ll call him “Scott Maxwell” teaches a lesson on Luke 22. He discusses the problems with doing things on [...]

I can’t believe I’m actually doing this…

I’m selling books on eBay, to transition to Libronix. Jacob made me do it! He showed me the sight of empty book shelves and the joys of quick search and talked me into it. Not for everything, but there are several tools that just seem like they’d be more useful on Libronix, [...]

Pray for a Misplaced Hope…

Sometime since November, I read one of Barack Obama’s books titled “The Audacity of Hope”. The book is an political biography written by our upcoming President. He titled it as such because he believes that there is still hope that the “American Dream” can be had by any American with a few changes in our political system.

the Kellsos’ 2008 – A Bloggy Newsletter

OK…so I asked on my facebook if updating my status counted as a Christmas card and I got a resounding contradiction…some yes / some no. If you said no as an attempt to get on our annual mailing list for Christmas cards, the joke’s on you. We’ve never sent Christmas cards. However, [...]
